We are pleased to announce the recent hiring of two additions to the Capstan Tax Strategies team.  Join us in welcoming our new Regional Directors.

Over the last decade, Isaac Downing has played every role in the cost segregation industry – he’s been an engineer performing studies, an accountant reviewing studies, and working on the front end in business development.  Now he’s bringing that wealth of experience – and the associated unique perspective — to Capstan Tax Strategies.

Isaac’s professional journey means that he knows the industry inside and out and brings a unique perspective to our clients when working with them to develop a strategy to maximize tax savings on every project.  His friendly, results-driven approach speaks for itself.   A proud Marine, Isaac exemplifies the Core Values of the Corps, bringing honor, courage, and commitment to everything he does.

Capstan has a presence on the West Coast for some time now, with Project Engineer Oscar Renderos based in Los Angeles.  Isaac is tasked with expanding our relationships with CPA firms and real estate clients throughout the West Coast.

FUN FACT: Isaac is the owner of cranky but lovable cat named Waffles.  He enjoys spending time on the beach and sampling new exotic cuisines.

With over 10 years of experience in business development, Tom Gervolino has learned a thing or two about what it takes to close a deal – and it’s not what you might think.  Tom isn’t about slick pitches and hard sells.  Integrity, communication, and a genuine concern for his clients have been the keys to his success. Tom prides himself on understanding each client, becoming attuned to their needs, and then exceeding their expectations.

Now covering the NY, NJ, and CT regions for Capstan, Tom makes every client feel like his most important client.  His positive energy and work ethic make him a tremendous asset to the Capstan team as he supports our East Coast clients and expands relationships with new CPA firms and real estate owners.

FUN FACT: Tom’s favorite activity is fishing with his nephews.  Sometimes his cheerful pitbull Buddy comes along for the fun!
