Carly Coker

R&D Project Manager

Carly Coker is an R&D Project Manager at Capstan Tax Strategies.  To date she has conducted over 300 R&D Tax Credit Studies, yielding over $75 million in federal and state tax credits.  She has experience in nearly every technical industry, though her favorites are manufacturing, architecture, and engineering.  Chemistry is a long-time interest as well, and Carly counts a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility as one of her most fascinating projects.  Carly also has a great deal of experience with the use of automation and robotics in packaging.

A science buff since childhood, Carly’s technical background and strong interpersonal skills make her a natural in this role.   Carly fluently speaks the “language” of science and experimentation used by her clients, and relishes the investigative process involved in each project.   She is also a “people-person,” and eschewed a career in the pure sciences for a more interactive consulting role.   Carly sincerely enjoys working with people, and she hopes that they enjoy the process of working with her.

Carly holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University where she was a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta & Phi Eta Sigma Joint Honor Societies.  She is also a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE).

Carly enjoys golfing, the outdoors, and doing crossword puzzles.  Her cats Zena and Phil don’t enjoy those activities, but they still like Carly.
